New Contract Awarded

A contract for the supply of Cargo Carrying Units (CCU’s), used for the safe transportation of supplies offshore, has been awarded by Talisman Energy (UK) Limited to Container Company (Aberdeen) Limited.

We have retained this exclusive contract with Talisman Energy (UK) Limited for a further period of five years with the option to extend for 2 x 1 year thereafter.

All goods, materials, supplies, chemicals and other various consumables required offshore have to be transported in a secure CCU. Container Company (Aberdeen) Limited, ensures that the containers are suitable for transportation from the base to the supply boat, then on to the platform by checking the weight load and the structural integrity of the CCU, for the safe lifting and shipping of the goods.

As safety is a major factor in working offshore, these units are designed to ensure not only the safe transport of goods from the supply boat to loading on to the platform, but also for the safety and well being of the workers who unload the materials and those around them.
