CCA Sponsor McDonald Golf Club Pro Am

The annual Pro-Am event was on 10th August 2007 at McDonald Golf Club - Ellon, where CCA are the main sponsor.

Container Company (Aberdeen) Ltd has been involved with this event for over 18 years being also the main sponsor for the past 2 years.

36 teams entered and the winners, with a score of 121, were the team from Ron Mackie Cars Ltd of Brechin comprising Ron Mackie, Kevin Mackie, John Milne and Mark King, PGA Professional, of Kingsfield Golf Range with an individual score of 70.

The winning PGA Professional was Jason McCreadie of Buchanan Castle scoring a commendable 6 under par 64.

The 1999 British Open Champion, Paul Lawrie, made a guest appearance and his team consisted of his 2 sons and his nephew.

From the way they played, it is obvious that the boys have inherited the ‘Lawrie’ pedigree and we would hope to see them on the Tartan Tour in the next few years.

They drew a large supporting crowd making a fitting climax to the event

Lomond House Headquarters Extension

Construction is well on the way to the extension of the Lomond House Headquarters of CCA.

Originally built in 1993 on a 1.8 acre site, the development and expansion of business together with the increasing numbers of staff has led to this major redevelopment.

Andy Drummond, Director commented “This major expansion is in keeping with the projected development of the Company which will result in the office accommodation, services, workshop and storage area doubling in size. This will not only provide the required additional space but an improved working environment for our staff who are core to our business. This development is due for completion by the end of 2007.”
